These terms govern your use of Pathfinder, operated by Pathfinder. Creating an account or taking an assessment means you accept them.
Agreement
These terms govern your use of Pathfinder, operated by Pathfinder (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or taking an assessment you agree to them. If you are taking an assessment through a school or an employer, their agreement with us applies alongside these terms.
The service
Pathfinder provides psychometric and aptitude assessments and related reporting for individuals, schools and employers. Results are indicative guidance. They are not a guarantee of any outcome, placement or hire, and they should be read alongside your own judgement rather than in place of it.
Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details and for keeping your credentials secure. Learners under 18 must have parental or guardian consent, arranged through their school.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the platform, attempt to bypass access controls, scrape or extract data you are not authorised to access, or use results to unlawfully discriminate against any person. Assessment results describe fit and preference; they are not a measure of a person’s worth and must not be used as one.
Payment
Paid plans are billed as described at the point of purchase, in South African rand, through our payment provider. Card details are entered on the provider’s hosted page and never reach our servers.
Plans are charged once rather than on a recurring subscription: an individual purchase grants access outright, and the school and employer licences run for the fixed term stated at purchase. There is nothing to cancel, and nothing renews automatically.
Intellectual property
The platform, its assessment models and its content are owned by us or our licensors. Your assessment responses remain associated with you and are handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability for any loss arising from use of the platform or from reliance on assessment results. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
